Seetha is a highly experienced and accomplished professional in the field of drug discovery and development. Currently, Seetha serves as Scientific Program Manager at ICW Healthcare Ventures. Additionally, she also works part-time as a Senior Research Technologist at the Cardio-Renal Laboratory at Mayo Clinic, supporting the development of lab-based discoveries from bench to bedside.
Seetha has a Bachelor of Pharmacy from the University of Mumbai, India, and a Master of Science in Pharmacology and Toxicology from the National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, Chandigarh, India.
Seetha spent nine years in the academia, managing lab-based research projects and developing expertise in the field of hypertension, heart failure, natriuretic peptides and the renin-angiotensin system. Her expertise and interest in Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics (DMPK) led her to the industry, where she spent 3 years as a Research Associate and Scientist in DMPK. She also served as a Study Director for Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics at LabCorp Early Development, where she oversaw non-GLP studies in small and large animal species for two years.
Seetha’s work has also been recognized with a prestigious award; the Department of Medicine Innovation Research Award from the Mayo Clinic for “Urinary Angiotensinogen: A Novel and Advanced Renal Biomarker to Enhance Outcomes of Patients 2016 Hospitalized for Heart Failure: Accelerating Discovery to the Bedside,” as well as the Bronze Mayo Quality Fellow Award.
